Love lasts for 2 or 3 years

Undoubtedly love is the major thrust moving the world. Too often, migratory processes are done because of love. Many people move to re-group a disseminated family, to marry someone from another country or just following a beloved one with a nice job.
Love provides the thrust and confidence to travel a long distance and jump into unknown cultures. Its power is so big that individuals leave friends, relatives and careers behind in search of a better future.
After the honeymoon period, discovering the new land and enjoying the new culture the time to settle down and find a job comes into the agenda. There are a few lucky ones that find it soon but most get trapped in an endless application process. It becomes a daily search through Google, looking desperately for that dreamed job. Hours spent writing and re-writing letters and CVs and applying here and there.
Most letters never receive even a reply. The ones that come announce that the candidate is too qualified (or under) or any other excuse. After 2 or 3 years in such process self-esteem and self-confidence are ruined. At that stage love is not enough; it might be there but it is not enough.
Too many factors play against foreigners and somehow the idea of a permanent and stable role is the wrong model to follow. The best way ahead is no more job applications no more energy wasted in such quest. Instead all efforts should focus in creating a venture project (profit or non-for-profit) and making it happen. This should be combined with a disciplined work oriented to recover self-esteem and self-confidence.
It is a hard track but it is not an overwhelming challenge. The sooner you start it, the faster you will move-out of the down-road.
